    Pagefile "anomalies"?

Degredation of performance comes from the page file getting fragmented by the constant writesa and not from the size of it. SSD and RAMdisk aren't affected by that at all.

    Pagefile "anomalies"?

Page file for modern OSes is very critical to its performance remaining optimal. And it can work well for the system only when put into an SSD or a RAMdisk. I have a dual-boot system atm with the win7's page file into the OS' SSD and the win10's pagefile in a RAMdisk. It was the only way to keep...

Intel Clarifies on 10nm Desktop CPUs: Still on the Table, Likely in 2021

Intel is feared of angry shareholders and think they are sheeps to believe all their bs. 10nm is dead. Only mobile and some server models will be available. if they ever put any of those in desktop it will be in prebuilt systems for office purpose since they won't even dare sell any CPU that is...

Intel Scraps 10nm for Desktop, Brazen it Out with 14nm Skylake Till 2022?

Zen3 will be for AM4 for sure. And will have both IPC and clock improvements. Intel is already behind in IPC, efficiency and pricing and just a bit ahead in gaming and will get in a tougher position soon with 3950X and TR4 launching imminently. So, you were saying?

    My First AMD Build

I would get the MSI B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard If I was in your place. Great VRMs, BIOS ready for Ryzen 3000, better memory compatibility, not much more expensive. And I would get a 3733MHz RAM kit. Great prices around atm. Agree for the rest of the parts. And if you want to get closer to the...

    Matisse (Ryzen 3000) overclocking/undervolting

Seems that new bioses will improve performance of Zen2 chips allowing less voltage that reduce power draw and improve thermals that in turn allow higher sustainable all-core-clocks.

Samsung Develops Industry's First 12-Layer 3D-TSV Chip Packaging Technology

Intel might be another main reason for that, apart from HBM RAM chips' packaging. 2022 in the earliest for the sale of anything related to this manufacturing method.

AMD to Unveil Radeon RX 5500 on October 7

I hope it gets up there and costs $150 while consuming less than 100W. It will be THE bargain for cheap 1080P gaming PCs imho. BTW I fully agree with his estimation about 5600XT reaching Vegas but for 5500XT I think efficiency will lead to constrain the clocks a bit more. Maybe the custom AIB...

    Will A GeForce RTX 2060 be bottlenecked by a i7 2600?

AC Odyssey will be heavily bottlenecked since it is the most heavy CPU dependent game from the newer ones. It needs as much CPU power as possible. And all DX12 games want at least 8 threads to run without microstuttering. Run benchmarks and watch for the minimum FPS. There is where it shows if...
