if i remove the cpu retention bracket, could i possibly hurt the cpu?

bios shows cpu core to be 1.12 volts and cpuz says i idle at ~.992 v to 1 volt and coretemp says VID: 1.16 volts room temp is 78 degrees Fahrenheit with one fan on ceiling running. My cores are both running properly, can assure of that . its just cpu temp is being weird.
