I heard that the 1060 3gb versions aren't useable for etherium mining because windows os uses 600mb vram and because of that ,it goes over the 3gb ram. But still usable with linux because its still only uses 2.4gb vram there. So we might start seeing cheaper 1060's 3gbs soon .

you could try overclocking your cpu . If this doesn't solve the problem then its probably your gpu that needs upgrading.
