    Help with E762 + i7 970

Drop CPU PLL to 1.6v And you may need more v-core to get 5200+ going, so try that. On LN2 you should be ok up to 1.8ish for short times. For turbo to work C1e and Speedstep need to be enabled.

Why are there no Sandybridge reviews using top end C2Q CPUs?

I own a QX9650 as well as a few Nehalems, a Gulftown and a 2600k. If you are looking for whether it is faster clock per clock, yes, by far!! also better IPC than even the Gulftowns, and blows Nehalems out of the water as well. The only place Sandy Bridge is lacking is once it hits it's wall...

    Sapphire TriXX Beta Up.....

GPU-Z gets its voltage info from the driver, changing it in hardware will not show up in sensor tabs. Now that W1zzard has the Volterra Docs and such this may or may not change in future releases. BTW great news on TRIXX , always liked the no Bullshit interfaces of W1zzards tools, they are...

Asus P8P67 Pro or Gigabyte P67A-UD4

I use LLC seting of extreme to scale it up so it is negative droop. Allows lower coreV. I ran all my benches with volts alot higher than after the newness wore off I started dropping back volts. I haven't seen any BSODs that I didn't directly cause.

Asus P8P67 Pro or Gigabyte P67A-UD4

well I run at 5.3ghz if that says anything, I run a custom water loop. I simple set offset voltage to +.250MV and leave all of the speedstep EIST stuff enabled, it runs 1.440 loaded and idles at 1.25 or so. My chip is great but has a hard wall of ~5.4 even 1.6v doesn't work. My buddy's auto OC...

Asus P8P67 Pro or Gigabyte P67A-UD4

I own the Asus you are thinking about, made the same choice you did. I really went with the Asus due to the EUFI bios. I am extremely satisfied with the board so far. It does everything with ease, it simply works great. I have no direct experience with the UD3, I wish I could help on that...

    GPU-Z App for iPhone?

Temps and such would be nice to monitor, would this work with ROG bluetooth or is that something Asus would have to OK?

Need to keep mineral oil cooled. Again

A refrigerator cannot cool a PC. Even a fairly weak one. All you would accomplish is killing the fridge after a short while of running. The idea is as old as computers and so far it has never worked.

    No signal from monitor

Try another cable, I had that happen once.

RBE, 69xx, video clocks, and how they all fit

You need to open GPU registers box in clock settings page to see the volts applied. I can assure you the voltage bump is real, GPU-Z reads from the driver info on these cards at least. I use digital multimeters attached to the cards to monitor volts. The Bios volt mods do work if done right or...

    ATI/AMD HD6950 unlock potential intentional?

Definitely intentional. Why the switch and the protected Bios if not?the fact they stuck to extremely similar specs, the comment in the press release slides about end users flashing when AMD uses a Digital signature to lock their Bioses. It all adds up to the obvious. AMD knew this would stir...

    RBE v1.27 released!

I had that happen 1 time, I reinstalled driver. put second card in, ran the install again and rebooted, worked fine after that. also look in GPU-Z if you see 768 shaders and 4 ROPS then the driver didn't take. just a note, only change volts in GPU register, do not try to cahnge it in the...

    Differences between 6950 and 6970

Go to HWbot for a bit and look around. Keep in mind the 6950s have had dry ice and LN2 also but the top clock I saw was under 1100 Uncle fester did 1300 for 3dmark Vantage on his card and that was the max that his clocking tool could do, he was not at the cards limits yet...

    Faulty i7 920?

I read all of this and I am thinking remount the CPU. The other suggestions are all very valid and I never liked XMP settings, but if those fail reinstall the cpu, if possible examine the LGA pads and look to see how central and solid the indentations are, you will need magnification to see them...
