PSA: AMD's Graphics Driver will Eat One CPU Core when No Radeon Installed

Who swaps things like GPUs without uninstalling the drivers and/or software first? That should be basic knowledge for people who know how to change parts.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800U "Cezanne" Based on "Zen 3," Geekbenched

    That's nice, dear...

AMD in Talks with Partners About Custom Radeon RX 6900 XT Designs

They both are. 6900XT is the 80cu version. 6800XT is the 72(?)cu version.

Absent of Official Announcement, NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti Graphics Cards Up for Preorder in China

You could call it pure greed if the costs related to production stayed the same or were cheaper, but with more expensive process technologies and cost increases due to COVID, things are going to be more expensive.

First Signs of AMD Zen 3 "Vermeer" CPUs Surface, Ryzen 7 5800X Tested

Unless I'm horribly mistaken, every Zen 2 CPU from the 3800X on below (except for the APUs) is a single chiplet (CCD) + IO die processor. Do you mean 8 cores in a single CCX, instead?

AMD B550 Chipset Detailed, It's Ready for Zen 3, Older AM4 Motherboards not Compatible

You'd have a point if ASRock X570 boards had the exact same CPU support like their X470 ones. More than likely the collective AGESA firmware for Ryzen 3000 and 4000 CPUs with full board features doesn't leave enough room for Ryzen 1000 and 2000 support. As for power phases, you can have fewer...

Matrox G200 - Celebrating 20 Years of Graphics Excellence

I had 2 SiS 6326 cards: a 4MB PCI version that was used on my VIA VP2 Baby AT Socket 7 board (which I think I was running a non-MMX Pentium, so long ago, can't fully remember), and a 4MB AGP version (both $50 or so each) That I used for my Asus P5A-B and P5A Aladdin V Super 7 boards until I got...

AMD Launches Embedded EPYC 3000 and Ryzen V1000 Processors

All states/municipalities I've been in have considered gambling (whether lotteries, slots, cards, horse races, dog races, etc.) as a form of gaming. Funny thing is that in some states; arcades, crane/prize games, and similar are considered as 'amusement' and not 'games', since they don't...

    AMD "Raven Ridge" Silicon Detailed

Summit Ridge has a 32-lane PCIE root complex with 24 lanes enabled (x16 + x4 for NVME + x4 FCH link), if Raven Ridge has 28 lanes enabled (16+4+4+4), where are the extra 4 lanes routed to, and will those 4 extra lanes work on the desktop version. That's what I'm asking.

    AMD "Raven Ridge" Silicon Detailed

Is this correct? If it's actually 28, are 4 lanes routed somewhere else? Will newer boards support 2 CPU-connected M.2 slots/an additional on-board x4 PCIE connection? It seems a bit odd that Raven Ridge has more 'active' PCIE lanes in its root complex than Summit Ridge does.

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 and 1600X CPUs Found With 8 Working Cores

Most civilized countries don't see getting more for the same price as "false advertising". What would constitute false advertising is if AMD sold these chips as 1700/1700X/1800X SKUs, but only enabled 6 of the cores.

AMD Ryzen Threadripper Memory and PCIe Detailed: What an MCM Entails

    Why would the remaining 28 be configured as 14 per die? I think the simplest configuration would be: Die #0: x16 + x16 Die #1: x8 + x8 + 3x M.2 + chipset The most complex configuration would probably be: Die #0: x16 + x8 + two M.2 Die #1: x16 + x8 + one M.2 + chipset

ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme X399 Motherboard Pictured Some More

    The box says that there are 3: 1x DIMM.2 slot with 2 M.2 Socket 3 with M key 1x M.2 Socket 3 with M key.

Asus X399 ROG Zenith Extreme Unboxed Ahead of Launch

At least the DIMM.2 adapter does put SSDs in an airflow path. From what I can tell, there may be a third M.2 connector under the X399 chipset heatsink (looks like a M.2 2280 standoff just below one edge of the heatsink).

AMD Ryzen Threadripper Motherboards to be Showcased on July 25th

Gotta say, the Zenith Extreme is one awesome looking board. I bet it'll run a good bit north of $600.
