NVIDIA GeForce 456.38 WHQL Released: Ampere Support, SLI Finally Dead

Not very good at reading I see. Try again: "Existing games". Not much to do with "previous GPU generations". But whatever, let's call it a misunderstanding. The other thing I am not even going to comment on, too much impotency in one sentence.

NVIDIA GeForce 456.38 WHQL Released: Ampere Support, SLI Finally Dead

Well obviously for Ampere GPUs, this is what this article is about, why would anyone even think I am talking about previous series...

NVIDIA GeForce 456.38 WHQL Released: Ampere Support, SLI Finally Dead

It clearly says all implicit SLI is disabled, cannot see your problem here?

NVIDIA GeForce 456.38 WHQL Released: Ampere Support, SLI Finally Dead

I don't get it. I understand that SLI is not going to be supported in future games, nobody expects that at this point, but to disable all support for existing ones?

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition

On ambient you are not getting past 16-17% faster than stock FE, and thats with 380W bios flashed (so 150% PL vs stock FE) and a custom LC, unless you want to run at 60 dB. So realistically on average setup you are not getting even half way to 3080 FE. And Ampere's OC potential is still unknown...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Unboxing & Preview

Very beautiful. AIBs really disappointed this time around, the designs are ultra cheap compared to this.

NVIDIA Reserves NVLink Support For The RTX 3090

This is the "GTX 980 makes no sense, you can overclock GTX 970" kind of talk, talking about how way cheaper heavily overclocked and tuned GPU is going to get close to more expensive stock thermal and power throttling one. It makes no real sense and assumes that you will get Maxwell-like 20%+...

NVIDIA Reserves NVLink Support For The RTX 3090

As a big SLI fan I find it a bit disappointing, 2x RTX 3080 would have been perfect this gen, and for the price of single 3090, but guess no cheaping out this time. But this isn't that much of a big deal, SLI was high-end enthusiast thing for years anyway, if you get it now then it is in 99% for...

NVIDIA Announces GeForce Ampere RTX 3000 Series Graphics Cards: Over 10000 CUDA Cores

For all the malcontents who didn't even bother to read the graphs and watch available videos, here is a preview of 3080 with same performance numbers:

Performance Slide of RTX 3090 Ampere Leaks, 100% RTX Performance Gain Over Turing

I actually found the comment section there to be increasingly funny over time. It used to really annoy me when I was new to all of this and taking it seriously, but now it just feels so stupid that it is no longer triggering and simply comical. It just doesn't seem serious. I'd much rather be...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 and 3080 Specifications Leaked

So it is basically confirmed that 3080 will be at least 20% faster than 2080 Ti if it has the same amount of CUDA cores but on a new architecture, there is no way for it to deliver less considering the spec. 3090 should be at least 50%. This should be like bare minimum conservative expectation...

NVIDIA Shares Details About Ampere Founders Edition Cooling & Power Design - 12-pin Confirmed

Your 2x8-pin cable connects to the PSU with one 8-pin connector, not two. If 12-pin cable uses two then it should be able to pull 600W, at least in theory. But if that's not the case then what is all the power draw crying about if the card won't be able to possibly pull more than your regular...

Sony Launches PlayStation 5 Pre-Order Registration Site

Heh, they are really afraid of the pricing for these new communsoles. First the reveal without pricing, now pre-order without pricing.

NVIDIA Shares Details About Ampere Founders Edition Cooling & Power Design - 12-pin Confirmed

The two 8-pin connections of 12-pin cable go into the PSU, this is different than 150W 8-pin you plug into the GPU. These are the slots that normally power your 2x8-pin cable, rated up to 300W. So theoretically 12-pin is up to 600W. This doesn't necessarily need to be a hint at anything about...
