    Civilization VI: Performance Analysis

By the time I get time to play it, it will be DX12 ready :)))) Btw, the mention of stacking units. Shouldn't it be saying it was re-introduced? I mean, all until Civ IV or V units always stacked

Calyos Unveils High-end Fanless Gaming PC

Took me a while to find it again (and reset my TPU pass that I forgot :D EDIT: wow... registered 9+ years ago, last post 7 years ago :D, now that's lurking ;) ) but here is the link to (p)review from some french site: http://www.modding.fr/presentation-le-pc-0db-de-calyos/ Doesn't say THAT...

    4890 Who Pulled the Trigger?

largon - tnx, I even thought about getting it off :) But since it's in closed case (no window, under table, near my feet) I really don't care except those few minutes I was looking at it in my hands :) My first impressions? Fallout 3 @ 1920x1440 - 55fps average, 35fps minimum.. DX9, all...

    4890 Who Pulled the Trigger?

Well, got mine in hand finaly! And all I can say is - that Sapphire sticker is UGLY! I mean, Club3D had nothing fancy, but it look better :D Anyway, I'm rushing home from work, as soon as I test a few things I'll let you all know how it feels ;)

    About to go 4890 CF

Actually, I though you really talked about depth of field, though I've skipped those posts mostly as I didn't have time to compare shots :D And all that depth of field stuff is really annoying IMHO, why add the "super duper effect" when it's just plain BLUR.. I don't want 24x AA just to have 90%...

    About to go 4890 CF

dccmadams - I agree, it's his decision.. We just wanted to clear out unnecessary FUD.. Oh, and I'm not sure, I'm probably a bit too old.. but would you adopt me? I sure qouldn't mind being your son :)

    About to go 4890 CF

Hellas, it's nothing personal man... here are few more words for you.. 330W for a single HD4890 system is based on my own system. Complete, user system. With HD4870 it had 310W peak consumption. I gave it +20W for HD4890. Adding another HD4890 can add 120W, so total is 450W. Still 200W left...

The 4890 "2D Low", GPU voltage/Memory clock rate Bios Thread

Heya nafets :) Yeah, I'll add the "please backup bios" up there as well in a second.. I forgot that people don't do that always :/ Just keep enjoying your card, I'm in no hurry.. Just one little thing - that's really 0% fan in 2D? If so - niceee! I'll really enjoy this card :) EDIT...

    About to go 4890 CF

Hellas - I'm with others here, I believe 2x HD4890 will give him better expirience than GTX295. First off, 2x73C does not mean he has 146C in his case. Neither does 2x41dB mean that he has a jet-engine levels of 82dB. If sound levels acted like that, people would never use several fans that are...

The 4890 "2D Low", GPU voltage/Memory clock rate Bios Thread

WARNING! OK, now that you were warned time to go on with this post. For those involved in "old" HD4870 "2D Low" thread they'll get it right away, and for those that are new to this, here is a short description taken from HD4870 thread (tnx got to EastCoasthandle; edited "a bit") OK...

    4890 Who Pulled the Trigger?

Don't freak me out guys.. I've just ordered mine today :/ Luckily, I'm getting it directly from importer, and if it's broke I'm going back to them the same day for exchange :P But I still hope all will be fine

Technical Differences between 4870 vs 4890

Well, I can agree on both.. I know it's gonna rule against current X1950, because HD4870 was also way better card :D And I too believe HD4890 is much improved vs 4870, that's why I got rid of 4870 and I'm now buying 4890 card for the same money I've sold my 4870 roughly a month ago :D

The 4800 series Driver, OCing, Cooling and Tweaking Thread

Hmm.. well, it's a 2-3C lower temps in VRM area. So if a can of air helps, than so be it. Btw, yeah, I ment at "before" picture of card itself, I was hoping for a messy dust-all-over-the-place picture ;) It's kind of weird that such an (almost) invisible coat of dust can cause that much...

The 4800 series Driver, OCing, Cooling and Tweaking Thread

Should have done "before and after" pictures ;D I've dusted off my HD4870 all the way to another person.. but as HD4890 has pretty much the same cooler, I'll try to keep this on my mind. Tnx!
