That makes perfect sense. And gamble is one I don't have the luxury in building my first rig.
99.99 for DDR3 2133!!! Im drooling!!!! unfortunately, I am in Singapore right now :banghead:
So I will settle for Vengeance™ — 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8) to install in my...
Thanks for the suggestion. I believe that's the best way, to buy them by pairs. But for curiosity sake, buying them 1 stick at a time is also possible right? Even numbers of stick plugged in still works right, 1 and 3?
I am not going to OC. I just want to add 1 memory stick at a time. Thinking of buying 1 stick now, then another later, then 3rd one if necessary, then 4th one if still needed.
Thanks!
But what if I will choose the 1st setup plan. 2 with the same everything and same colour slot. Then I buy the next 2 pairs but higher speed as the first 2 pairs?
Same as using the 2nd setup plan. 1st pair then the 3rd memory has a higher speed? This is assuming 1 slot is still...
A follow up question is, assuming I don't have the cash to buy all the memory I need right now for a dual channel ddr3 4 slot mobo. Is the following setup plan possible? Any thing I need to take note of when buying using one of the setup below?
1. Buy a kit of 2 now then buy another kit of 2...
Cool! Thanks!
So let me check if I get it right, if I am using a 2600K processor and my mother board supports DDR3 2133(OC)/1866(OC)/1600/1333/1066 non-ECC, un-buffered memory. And I don't have plan to OC. Would the highest speed I should choose be 1600?
I have a question regarding the spec DDR3 2200(O.C.)*/2133(O.C.)/1866(O.C.).
When the above is part of the supported memory of the motherboard, does it mean I can go buy a DDR3 2200 or DDR3 2133 or DDR 1866 and just plugged it in without even overclocking?
