Not sure of this last part nvidia has such a huge mindshare and following that their users don't have a problem paying 2k for a 4090. I don't have access to the sales data but I wouldn't be surprised if the 4090 is the best seller in the whole 4000 series.
I totally agree that we need to get...
I think top end RDNA 4 will equal 7900XT raster performance but with better RT performance than both XT and XTX at $500-$600 range and better power consumption than both.
$400 sounds abit unrealistic
I think they are throwing everything and the kitchen sink at RDNA 5. There are more midrange buyers than highend so it makes sense to me if High RDNA 4 wasn't going to be good enough.
This and tons and tons of upscaling. You don't know how many console gamers I have spoken with that actually think they are getting Native 4k on their PS5.......
The PC market has shifted to Adults (30+) with disposable income and away from Teen's and young adults (25 and under).
When I was in my teens it was doable for me to build a pc and it not break the bank. If I was 18 now working the typical job someone that age is no way you could afford $1000+...
Probably because its used in the Enterprise space so Eypc cpu's will need it. And consumer products are basically just cut down versions of those products.
I've not had any issue using Merlin firmware on asus routers for the last 6 years or so and do 100+ day up times until rebooted for firmware updates. PFSense setup is great but also much more advanced and not going to be as wife friendly :)
And for a laptop that makes sense. However a desktop with a powerful gpu and power won't have those issues so lets hope they do indeed release it for gpu's also at some point.
