It needs to be cheaper. Reason : ray tracing. And yes, it does matter on the 2080ti. Not on the remaining rtx line up (almost useless).

Did them? Afaik most of the desktops in the world are using Intel. Steamstats also agrees. I think ppl jump to drastic conclusions too soon. Meanwhile 9700k sold out in my country a week ago....

Well if the performance is within 3% of the 3600, just like the 3600x, and price 160€, we have a new best seller. At the same time would feel bad for who paid 230€ for the 3600. A 3900 for 400€ would be a hit too, but that would canibalize the 3700x/3800x (wich arent interesting chips imo)

It depends on the perspective. Here in Portugal the most sucessful chips are the obvious R5 3600 and.... The 9700k. 9700k even sold out a week ago. A lot of people waited for Zen2 reviews to see if Amd could beat intel on Esports titles/gaming. When they seen it didnt, 9700k started to sell like...
