I thought there may have been a simper fix then that, I am just going to install windows 7 on one of the old drives and then move my files over to it.

Windows wouldn't let me delete the partitions, probably because they contained the boot records. The problem with formatting is that all of my data is backed up to the drive with windows 7, I can't format it or i will lose everything.

No. I had ubuntu installed on my 80GB caviar and windows wouldnt then detect that drive from within my computer, I think its due to it being a system disc so it ignores it to prevent access / modification. Could be wrong mind. Windows won't detect the drive with Ubuntu because ubuntu uses...

No. Since they are "primary" drives with operating systems on them windows will not allow it.

Yep, just finished backing up everything. Looks like there is no way to format within windows though. Computer management won't let me. I guess the easiest way would be just to throw an ubuntu CD in?

I just bought Empire Total War. I have an x1950 pro and it will only play this game on medium which looks terrible. I tried googling some requirments for this game and didnt see any recommended video cards. Can anyone give me some suggestions on what will run this game better?

+1 for the thinkpad. I have had nothing but good experiences w/ my T series notebooks.
