Portwell Builds Intel Xeon Motherboard with 20 USB Ports

This could be nice for having a bench full of Lab-Equipment. Just plug in your scopes, PSUs, testers, etc. and off you go.

    Radeon RX 5700 (XT) Club

There seems to be a wierd quirk with fan control when I launch Afterburner. Apart from that, smooth sailing.

What game sequel(s) would you offer up a blood sacrifice...

Railroad Tycoon 4 would be well worth it.

    PSU for New Rig

While 80°C is fine from a within spec standpoint, you more than likely need a 2000 series CPU to upgrade the BIOS (1000 may break during the update bricking the board).

Any way to control when Windows starts dumping to the pagefile?

Your issue looks a lot like a problem a friend had (and I ran into it on my notebook) a while ago. Windows 10 sometimes decides to load zombies (= process without a parent programm) into RAM. To make windows clear the old pagefile: Regedit...

    PSU for New Rig

Anything above and including 550W should be fine. With 750W you could throw in a second GPU without worrying about anything. That B350 mobo on the other hand, don't! Do yourself a favour and get something X470 or X570.

NVIDIA Influencing YouTube Tech Journalists' Product-Placements, Alleges Whistleblower

That was bad on a technical fuck up layer. Yes, Nvidia should have disclosed that. After the fuckups with Microsoft and Apple, I would believe an Nvidia engineer claiming the slow half Gigabyte slipped through QA. Intel on the other hand, bribed Dell and German electronics store chain...

NVIDIA Influencing YouTube Tech Journalists' Product-Placements, Alleges Whistleblower

Nvidia knows where legal and illegal start and end. They may be shady at times, but not "documented in court and convicted for it"-shady like Intel. The Full 518 pages of "intel is the bad guy"

Streacom Outs the UM2 Universal CPU Mount for its Fanless Heatsink Cases

I assume that is nickel plated copper and steel?

NVIDIA Influencing YouTube Tech Journalists' Product-Placements, Alleges Whistleblower

The source is Reddit, so you got a source about as good as /dev/null is a place to store your backups. IIRC we had the exact same bullshit story last year, published unchecked, without any validation to speak off. Is this the "hole before holiday season"-story now? Will we get to read the same...

Who is better Asus or Creative ?

A great big Depends What are you aiming to do? For a powered 5.1 setup, onboard optical to its optical in is your best bet. For headphones, look into external DAC/AMP units like the Schiit Fulla or FiiO K5 Pro.

    Sound card or Amplifier?

Don't bother with the M50's, the 40's are just as good for cheaper. ADAT and MADI would like a word with you. For headphones, there is no need for more than two channels at 192kHz 24bit. All the other smoke and mirror tech is not needed (or wanted).

    Razer Introduces the Tetra Headset

Oh yeah! An inline control that breaks and turns mono both channels into mono one channel for that ultimate screaching in everyones left ear! Get a Sennheiser PC 2 CHAT instead, costs half, does the same.

    Pagefile "anomalies"?

Wrong. Directly from Microsoft: The only thing that talks to the Hardware is the Kernel or Kernelmodules (like drivers). The file system only "rarely" gets involved for reasons of latency. All the virtual-physical address abstraction happens just by the kernel. Else every storage call would be...

AMD Ryzen 9 3950X Beats Intel Core i9-10980XE by 24% in 3DMark Physics

Dedicated 750W PSU for the CPU, a second one for the rest of the system. Easy! To get a better understanding of what is going on, look at servers. Why look at Rome when we have Matisse at home? Simple: Rome got all stops pulled. Those things run full tilt vs Intels best offerings (price vs...
