SOLVED-BF3 fps drop when zooming in 12x scope on huge 64 players maps

I had large fps drops (from 100 to 45-50) when zooming in with a 12x sniper scope on 64 player maps over large distances. I have found the solution to this zooming in problem. It regards tesselation. I unchecked the option "amd optimized" in CCC and reduced the tesselation manually to x8 and...

    BF3-system ram related

Thanks guys, but yesterday I have found the solution to this zooming in problem. It regards tesselation. I unchecked the option "amd optimized" in CCC and reduced the tesselation manually to x8 and boom baby!!!! No more problems...i get more fps when zooming in with the 12x scope(even on Caspian...

    BF3-system ram related

I was asking if 2x4gb could help my performance; and btw 11.9 cap 4 messed with my 2nd gpu's usage really bad...never did go above 40%; when i uninstalled it usage went to 99% on both cards. My problem is not with usual fps, just when zooming in with a sniper. Thank you for your response but it...

    BF3-system ram related

Would upgrading to 2x4gb ram(instead of the existent 2x2gb-see specs) help my BF3 performance? I get a strange fps drop when zooming in with the sniper on caspian border. I use 11.10 prev. 3 with no caps (both gpu's stay at 99% so no bottleneck or anything). Resolution is 1680x1050, settings all...

    BF3 problem

I get intro freeze with crossfire enabled, all good using one card; but i want the extra fps...i installed all that is needed for the game and i use 11.10 preview 3 + 11.9 cap 3 (as recommended by amd for his game). Any ideas?

    i5 750@4Ghz=crossfire 6950 bottleneck?

    Well I'm happy for you dude...wish I could say the same..i read that 2x6950 get like 120+ fps on this resolution...and i get 35-100...mostly between 45-55 :(

    i5 750@4Ghz=crossfire 6950 bottleneck?

I have the latest cap, also tried watching fps with afterburner, same result :(

    i5 750@4Ghz=crossfire 6950 bottleneck?

Cpu usage during the game is between 70-85-90% max; GPU usage does not reach 100% on both cards, more like 90% and 40%. I know BC2 is cpu intensive but wtf it's a good quad with a 50% OC...both cards however are at 3D clocks so no problem there, temps are around 65C so no thermal throttling. The...

So basically as a conclusion...is it my cpu or not? :)

    i5 750@4Ghz=crossfire 6950 bottleneck?

80+ with a single card..tried different drivers..ping is very good..no artifacts on screen during fps drop.

Stupid frostbite engine then...hope that bf3 wont pull a fast one on me too:( all games scale very good except stupid retarded BC2...

    i5 750@4Ghz=crossfire 6950 bottleneck?

Could an i5 @4 Ghz bottleneck 2x6950 2gb? Or what could be the cause of Battlefield BC2 negative scaling? The temps of the gpu's are around 65 C, so i see no temperature bottleneck. Should i overclock the CPU more? Show your creativity here my friends, I'm really stuck :( p.s. I game at...

    6950 Crossfire issue

Cadaveca you're the man :D I'm looking forward to your feedback, thanks dude :) @Brandonwh64 It's a little over my budget right now, maybe in 4-5 months if i get a good price for my cpu and mobo.

    6950 Crossfire issue

Final question: would changing the monitor with another one with a 1920x1080 resolution take the weight off the CPU a little bit and help with the scaling? I read that increasing the resolution moves the importance towards the GPU(s).
