Exactly. In my situation the GTX 770 is definitely the best choice.

Both R9 290's are available, but 25% more expensive than the 770. And since I already REALLY stretched for that instead of the 760, it's unacceptable to me. Also I don't see 25% more on the benchmarks from the 290.

Yeah, that's what I'll do actually. Get the Z1 exchanged for a Z3 Plus. Found out it has a built-in fan controller for 2 fans, so I'm all set =)). Well, well. That seems to be it then. All that remains is: 1. Wait for the case (again) 2. Install all the goodies 3. ... 4. Post results on...

Yes, I'll be getting the WF version. Asked the question on other forums as well, if the replies will be negative I'll be looking at Zalman Z3 Plus (2 front fans, 2 top, 1 back), it's only 6€ more expensive. But then the MSI Z87-G43 has only 3 sysfans, which means the 2 left over would have to be...

The only 770s that have blower coolers are made by PNY and eVGA afaik, neither of which I can get. The GPU is the one I'm worried about... Sent an e-mail to Zalman, maybe they can tell me something, altho I doubt it. Well, I guess I'll have to try it out, haven't found any clear answers to my...

    It's an okay build, altho what's ?

6200 really isn't good at all anymore. I'd take the second one, read somewhere that the integrated graphics on 4670k can do pretty well, especially if you're not gaming. Since the CPU and mobo don't match exactly I'd say you should get either A. Z87 chipset mobo or B. non-K series CPU with a H87...

Well, I've used Chieftecs for 14 years now and haven't had a problem yet. And I should've mentioned I've changed it to APS-650SB, OEM of which is Sirtec, which has a decent reputation as a PSU maker. The APS-650SB is 80+ Bronze certified. I would go for a very high reputation PSU of course, but...

The retailer I'm buying from doesn't have that model. Also I wouldn't use all the capabilities it has to offer. My choice has narrowed down to the G43 by this point TBH.

Somehow this part of the post didn't show up when I replied previously. That one is indeed the black&red board with the dragon, however it's the MSI Z87-G43 Gaming, and it's 30€ (40$) more expensive than the normal MSI Z87-G43...

Well, I CAN go the other route and get myself all the parts from dubious e-shops and such, however that doesn't offer the peace of mind that if something fails I can just take the system to their store and ask for a repair/new part. The G43 does indeed seem the better option.

Sure - ordi.ee. Sadly it's only in estonian, but if you really want you can choose "komponendid" (components) from the left-hand menu, first choice down will be "emaplaadid" (motherboards). And yes, the GD-65 is almost twice as expensive and it does not seem to have benefits to justify that. As...

Hai, tom_mili =). To my knowledge the warnings about voltage control on G43 were based on the number of power phases, yes. Haven't seen threads or articles about problems with the BIOS. I'm not in a rush per say, but since because of what I do I spend almost every waking hour behind my computer...
