@LuxZg My psu dont have any PEGs either, you dont need 2x 4 pins connectors to those adapters. Just use one 4x pin to each adapter.I tried with 2 and it doesnt make any differents at all. Tried in benchmarks etc. edit: a nvm saw you edit your earlier post..

look above lol :P fan speed idlig 30%, under heavy load(furmark) 39%-45%. GPU never get more then 70c warm. I clocked my cpu to 3500 without a singel fps upgrade in crysis benchmark. That was indeed strange. So i guess its not your mhz but something else. I have P35 chipset, ie pce 1.1. Maybe...

hmm tried with 1273, 1283, 1300 and 1400 without any difference.. guess your higher CPU mhz gives you the fps increase over me then i use the asus top bios atm, 30% idle, 39-45% under full load (furmark), the bios basically do what it can do have you gpu at max 70c

Ive noticed that Crysis pushes the card fairly good also in terms of VRM temps, so try that.

Just flashed my Club3D 4870 with the Asus one. Worked great, furmark stable at standard clock 815/925.

    HD4870 Furmark black screen crash.

99% of the card now is reference design anyway so doesnt really matter ^^^Must been defective if you notice anything better.

    HD4870 Furmark black screen crash.

afaik everest VRM temp stop working if you clock your card.. so try stock speed with furmark for correct temp edit: also AA enabled gets lower VRM temp (atleast 4x and 8x)

Hey any chance you can take a picture of your card? Want to see your cooling solution. And btw you have maxspeed on your fan that is cooling the VRMs? What size is that fan? I noticed a big improvement in temps when turning the speed up on my 120s fan, not a big surprise though haha.

nono im using everest like everyone else :P tested with all versions avaible, same high vrm temps. i did however put my finger on the backside and on the heat sink and it was really hot.. but ye that doesnt really tell you the exact temp :P

You cant read the VRM temp in GPU-Z afaik, if you mean gpu temp2 thats not VRM temp. Anyways i put on the oem backplate together with accelero and that gave better VRM temp for sure. Not close to stable 80c temp though. The more runs you do in furmark and build up the temp in backplate the...

wow thats crazy, just 80c and 60c under full load. hows that possible... what everest you using. i use 4.50 1448 beta... dont see you get half my temp with different brand of heatsinks. something fissy going on.. i use OCZ copper heat sinks so should be good quality. U have 4870 or 4850 btw :P
