I've had my Seasonic X-660 for 2 years now and its still pumping watts into my rig! Going with a reputable brand will most likely put you in the right track! As for the watts, even for x-fire or sli, a 750 watt PSU should do the trick!

I did my update FW/optimization after a fresh install of windows 7! It was quite seamless and did the FW update automatically with no fuss. I'm using the 830 as my OS drive with very minimal programs installed! And it is working great! Cheers to all Samsung 830 users!
