I have 2 pairs of the older generation MDR-XB700's. Specs look slightly better (5g weight diff) on these but I fear that they will not be as comfortable since they are on ear instead of over the ear. Here they are refering to Quad HD. HD has a resolution of 1280 x 720. If you double its height and width you get the Samsungs resolution of: 2560 x 1440

If Intel gets their way and 4K resolution becomes a standard then these cards will be completely useless in high res gaming. I can wait a few years for standardization. And a few more for prices to fall.
