Be extra careful when dealing with Candle_86. He has a track record of scamming people at [H] Rage3d and is banned from [H] Rage3D and nVNews for the same reason.
Links to Rage need registration apparently.

Nice review!
The Quake4 scores are amazing.
BTW W1zzard I think it's time to use widescreen resolutions in techpowerup benchmarks. Most of the people have already moved to widescreen monitors and I think TP should too.
Cool!
I see he's warming up for 3DMark Vantage. Skulltrail would be THE top scorer's platform for quite some time since the score scales with +4 cores and there is no alternative atm that performs as good as Skulltrail for 3DMark Vantage benching.
I had my problems with NF4 and RAID corruption, and of course I didn't run stock clocks back then so it might just have been an isuue with OC+RAID+SLI.

iirc there is also another direct-touch heatpipe cooler out there from some other company beside the one I linked above but I don't remember its...
Evil is in the details.
Why did he bench at performance? That's two notches down from where CCC's default setting sits wich is "high quality." High Quality-->Quality-->Performance results in a performance boost.
The bench result won't be comaparable with the results we know from other...
Good point, oem companies demand accurate on-the-mark TDP values otherwise they will have to deal with hundreds or thousands of unstable systems. As you pointed out intel may just give those chips the worst case senario TDP values to be on the safe side when dealing with OEMs.
I am under...
