Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker GPU benchmark/Post Your Scores

Not making it to 40k on the RDNA2 sadly, but did make it a bit further at least, matching 4080 reported results:

    EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 T2

1 year old EVGA T2 1600 vs 6950XT with EVC2 and no power limit. 1.3 Vgpu @ 3ghz. 6950XT wins. RIP 1600T2. Primary side Cap went BOOOOOOOOM as soon as TSE GT2 high load section hit. GPU at 700ish watt draw. EVGA backing it and replacing, good on them. PSU is a tank though, it handled the very...

Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker GPU benchmark/Post Your Scores

Le sigh, limited by my backup PSU (Stupid Saesonic bullcrap) which triggers OTP if I let the GPU go full power :( Capped at 550w for GPU in this run. Looking through the thread, this seems to be the highest AMD GPU score ...lol. Final form will happen when my 1600T2 replacement arrives...

You don't need high voltages on the 5800X3D

Props for hunting performant configurations instead of focusing on freq. Configuring your system to your cooling, use, and sample is always worth the time and effort. All my #1 positions for 5800x3d on HWbot, OCCT benchmark rankings, Corona 1.3, 3dmark etc directly refute most of this post...

But the 6950 is a price grab... But the X3D IPC sucks... pfft

Shadow of the Tomb Raider benchmark

Overclocked 5800x3d doing a bit of work, punishing my 2080ti. Demo not full game, 3080ti testing for high/highest in the near future. 720 Lowest 1080Lowest

    Post your Cinebench R23 Score

What a hilarious derailment.. we experience units of time in watts per score point right... While I'm waiting on a render/compile, I'll just count my stacks of pennies saved through efficient processing... meanwhile, the hourly rate of work on the PC murders the cost of running the hardware...

    Post your Cinebench R23 Score

Should have some new C8E scores fairly soon. Very curious to see if the new board actually helps anything sub-ambient (but not sub zero).

    Post your Cinebench R23 Score

I did some testing today of the newest AMD chipset driver, mostly a wash. Gains in game performance little/no change in production performance, very odd. R23 scores fell within margin of error above/below no choosey driver use.

    Post your Cinebench R23 Score

Since the multiplier increment is 0.1 on Zen 3, every degree does matter, as mentioned, even more than on Zen 2. For water-cooling, Conductonaut really makes a lot of sense on the 5950X and 5900x, primarily to maximize 1, 2 and 3 threaded workloads. Past 3, the heat is actually a lot easier...

    Share your CPUZ Benchmarks!

New CPU with a little PBO limit tuning and CO tuning on a Crosshair 7 Wifi. Don't see the point of Asus DCO, holds 4.83ghz all core and 51xx single core with just PBO already, and does so at lower than stock voltages... BIOS 4301, all AGESA 1.2.0.x after 1.2.0.0 show performance regression...

Zen 2 OCing... The right way?

I suggest trying both and see the performance impacts. Same thing I encourage everyone do to. I've observed some static OC behaviour where PBO disabled results in no power limitations at all, where setting PBO to manual and setting TDC limit is not observed, and where setting a PPT does get...

    AMD's next-gen RDNA 2 rumor: 40-50% faster than GeForce RTX 2080 Ti

Nope. Xx% faster WHEN YOU'RE NOT FIGHTING DRIVER ISSUES. Faster, but non-functional, hardware is slower. Step 1: write good drivers. AMD cannot, see the tech support areas on the web for examples. Easy to find a hoard of people with driver issues on 5xxx cards STILL.

X79 and/or rampage IV OC'ing thread for those of us still left....

I'd recommend skipping all 2011 at this point sub 1680v2. They're so cheap now, you can get amazing performance for like $150, slays all Zen, Zen+, and most 2011-3 chips for gaming and productivity. One of the most underrated CPUs of all time. 55%+ OC very easily from 3.0 base to 4.6-4.7 GHz...
