Sorry for necro'ing the topic all.
The problem was fixed. Apparently, one of the customised PCIE cables from Cablemod were damaged. They sent me a replacement set (X3 PCIE cables) and everything is working again no problems during gaming etc.
Topic can be closed! Ty all for the help...
I just tested with Furmark (don't know if that's a proper test for checking PSU under load) but it says around 360W.
I just sold my older GPU can't really test atm.
Hi all,
Built a new PC in August and everything was running fine until last couple of weeks. I randomly get black screens when I start a game or in the middle of a game. My PC stays on but I lose connection to my monitor. At first, I would turn off my PC wait 5 minutes and turn it on again. It...
Hey guys I just received my Sapphire Nitro+ 7900XT Vapor-X card. I thought it was finally time to upgrade (coming from a 5700XT). Got it for €899 which I thought was a solid price.
Should I leave it on stock or undervolt it immediately for better temps / performance? I'll be doing some...
Same here in The Netherlands. It launched at €1.2k and some models are now around €900. Waiting a bit as well to see if prices will drop in the next couple of months
Thank you for your insight. Yea I don't really need RT performance and I play on 1440P/180HZ. I'm not playing 4K any time soon. I do want to get the most performance (just played a couple of Warzone and BF2042 games and I have these frame drops). I checked tons of reviews and people are able to...
I can get a 6900XT Nitro+ for €840 right now. I've got a 5700XT Nitro+ as well and it's great. A 7900XT or 4070 ti are at minimum €929. Ty for the suggestion, I'll look into reviews of the 4070TI.
I see, my bad I misunderstood. It's indeed one of the best performing CPUs for gaming and the price dropped nicely so it's a no brainer to pick this up since I'm still on AM4 socket. Thanks!
Thanks for the input. I'll do a bit more research on 7000 series cards. For now, I'll go with the D15/5800X3d combo, thanks for the confirmation! :)
I understand what you're saying, but I've read/seen numerous feedback on Reddit claiming the 5800X3D does help improve the 1% FPS, so the low...
Bringing back life in this thread. I'd like to thank everyone for their advice and help! It's been a couple of month's since I asked some advice and prices have gone down quite significantly.
I'll be getting a 5800X3D for €300, which is a great price point. Not sure yet about the cooler. Might...
Thank you very much. It's gonna be a tight fit I think but I will take my time to check the compatible coolers!
You're completely right, the GPU upgrade is gonna come first.
Cool thank you for your advice. Will check for RAM height compatibility.
Exactly as your said on point C. I don't think...
Yea with such crazy prices I think I will stick with my AM4 until it's reasonable again to upgrade.
5800X3D seems like the way to go for ''high end'' at the moment.
Hmmm I see yea I will upgrade to a 6800XT for sure and eventually again in the future. Will probably get a 5800X3D based on...
Hmmm I haven't researched the 5800X much. Normally I always get the 8 core CPU but this time I am contemplating whether it's worth it.
A 5800X3D is priced at €440, a 5800X at €300 and 5600X at €210. I have to research the performance differences between 5800X3D and 5800X. Thanks for your answer...
Hi everyone, I'm in a dilemma with upgrading my rig.
Currently running a 3700X and 5700XT. Definitely gonna upgrade my GPU to a 6800XT, but I also want to upgrade my CPU to squeeze more FPS.
I was thinking I could go for a 5600X (less cores but better for gaming). But since the release of AM5...
