I tried installing my old 60gig HDD, but I had cables in the way.....my case is 5 yrs old and isn't space efficient despite it's size. I spotted a 160g Maxtor USB2 external for $99AUD.....so I might just grab that for now. Like a lot of people, I'm planning a massive upgrade later in the yr...

I have a 160g WD HDD in my current PC, and it's 18months old,.... but in my neck of the woods, Maxtor seem like a good choice for externals+ they win on aesthetics:laugh: I'll report back once I buy it...but it may not be for a few weeks yet.

Another thing....are maxtor the Mercedes Benz of external HDD's?

Maxtor 320GB OneTouch III External USB 2.0 HDD I actually have XP pro, but I'm curious if anyone knows whether these HDD's would still work with Vista?
