    Resident Evil 6

Did it not seem like everyone was talking about RE2, RE4 and everything but? Anyway, after seeing how some users are offended because I happened to want to create a new thread and not wanting to post in their already old and crappy thread, they can go to hell. I was wondering how this forum was...

Well worth bringing the thread back up, great comment.

    Resident Evil 6

We're finally going to be able to run-and-gun for the first time (think I read that somewhere), that's a pretty big addition to the series if true. This looks like it's going to blow RE5 away from what I've seen so far. EDIT: Hmm, scratch that run and shooting.

That thread doesn't have any RE6 related talk, besides, this is something I'm interested in and want to talk about here. Feel free to not join in if you prefer.

    Resident Evil 6

I really can't wait for this game to come out on the PC. I was able to max out RE5 quite well at 1366x768 (laptop screen), but after looking at the RE6 specs, I'm getting kinda worried and do not think I'm going to be able to play this game even near maxed with my current system. Either way...

    GPU bottleneck

Get the 7850, the 4830 is not that great and the new card will improve things a lot.

    GPU bottleneck

Specifics, not FPS or MMO. What are the game names? Either way, should be fine for most with that video card.

    Choosing a GTX 670

I personally like the lower priced Gigabyte card and the look of it, second would be Asus.

Can I install my only video card in any of the PCI-E x16 slots?

This happened to me before, all you need is a thicker screw to make up the difference in the hole size.

Help me unlock the current voltage locked 7970 DCII cards

You really don't need to make two threads for this. http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2661016#post2661016

    Unsure.

I don't agree, but that tends to happen from time to time. I wouldn't spend all that cash on a new video card to only get a marginal performance boost. What I'm saying is go for something much better, not just slightly better. Here is some interesting information. You'd barely be able to tell...

    Unsure.

There is always a bench to say one thing or another. Here is one saying the HD5870 is only 4-8fps slower. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/HD_7850_HD_7870/21.html Here's one where the HD5870 is better. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/HD_7850_HD_7870/15.html You'll have to look...

    Unsure.

The HD7850/70 is not an upgrade to his HD5870. They roughly have the same bandwidth and Flops. A real upgrade would be a HD6990 or an HD7970.

    New Build Advice/Help

Getting any new AMD CPU based on Bulldozer is wasted money that could have been better spent on an Intel chip. I am an AMD fan, but not of Bulldozer. I wouldn't go that way.

Older high end GPU thread *Pics*

My Visiontek HD3650 1GB AGP Card (not my picture). Inside the PC with my Athlon 64 and huge heatsink and fan (my picture). Everything still works, but it's not in use.
