NVIDIA RTX 3060 Hashrate Limiter Defeated, GeForce 470.05 Driver Unlocks Full Mining Performance

While I don't condone mining, based off your assertion, when I game with my gpu, it's zero emissions? What about video editing?

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-Series GPU Availability to Reportedly Worsen in Q1

Based off your assertion, you are saying that GPUs are essential. Interesting. So reading a good book isn't home entertainment? Watching a movie isn't either. You can see where I'm going with this, right? As for my 2080 Ti, it is mostly used for work; the same for the other GPUs I have in my...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-Series GPU Availability to Reportedly Worsen in Q1

What in the hell is up with some of the commentary in this thread? I understand the frustration of not being able to secure some of these products but some of you are coming off as entitled. These are luxury entertainment products. Not essential. I know it sucks but it could be far worse...

"Indefinitely Postponed" RTX 3080 Ti Might See April Launch Carrying 12 GB GDDR6X Memory

He isn't wrong. In those configs, "looking at you Asus laptops", the system will run in dual channel for the 8GB. If an app asks for more than the 8GB, the system will run in single channel speeds. Do the research, you'll see.

Overclocked AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT Sets World Record on Air

Simple question. The modification of tessellation in 3D Mark is well known by experienced XOC'ers and likely applies to the 3090 scores. Why was this particular benchmark singled out? It is not against the rules on HWbot (I believe it should be, as plenty of my top benches were beaten using this...

AMD Ryzen 5000 Processors Allegedly Work With 300 Series Motherboards

I agree and disagree with your assessment of Ryzen overclocking. It is very true RAM overclocking is very important for Zen processors, getting a stable, large frequency OC without exotic cooling is possible...just very difficult. Perhaps it is just me but I was able to kill the VRMs on my...

AMD Ryzen 9 5950X Overclocked to 5.90 GHz

This is very impressive. To those that claim frequency doesn't matter or lambasted the bench because it's used under LN2, don't understand how difficult overclocking AMD CPUs can be. Let me see your scores.

Intel Whitley Platform for Xeon "Ice Lake-SP" Processors Pictured

I deploy Epyc and Intel based servers for small to enterprise size businesses and if you're referring to the Epyc NVMe test LTT explored, that is an unreasonable and unrealistic experiment. No one that is an actual IT pro directly attaches that much storage in Raid 0, no less, and expects no...

Eurocom Announces the Nightsky ARX15 Superlaptop with Ryzen 9 3950X

Eurocom isn't the maker of this chassis. Clevo is the ODM. Eurocom buys this chassis like every other reseller, from Clevo.

XMG APEX 15 is a Laptop with AMD Ryzen 3950X CPU Inside

Interesting. I wonder if Premamod BIOS will be available for this.... I'm going to go ask him.

    ASUS ROG Zenith II Extreme

I am actively selling this board and going with a different brand. Asus is slowly going downhill while maintaining high prices for their products. I don't feel confident overclocking on the Zenith II Extreme after having to get a replacement. I love Asus's BIOS but after seeing a revision of...

ASUS Unveils ROG Zenith II Extreme Alpha Motherboard: Improved CPU VRM

So now I can see why I had to get a replacement board from Newegg.com for my Zenith II Extreme and why I gave it the review that I did on Newegg. If Asus is willing to rerelease this board so soon, that means the VRM's are not adequate for overclocking (of which they do market this board for)...
