Windows 11 TPM Requirement? Bypass it in 5 Minutes

Ya I have no plans on moving to Win11 anytime soon and it has nothing to do with the TPM issue - thanks for providing the fix, though, much appreciated. I expect cracked copies of Win11 that will be pre-configured to have TPM requirements disabled, but it'll be YEARS before I move to Win11. I'll...

Possible Intel 12th Gen Core Pricing Leaked, i9-12900K Costs 741€

Ya doesn't matter to me what they launch at. I've been buying my equipment several generations used when the prices get down to what I consider to be reasonable.

Microsoft to Ban Unsupported Machines from Windows 11 Updates

Yep. I'm running a 6950X and will continue to run Win10 as long as possible - if they want to make it so Windows Update doesn't annoy me, even better. I take my time in moving forward with both hardware and software, never in a hurry, just happy to wait for software to mature. Quick side...

Epic Games Store Keeps Losing Money, Expected Unprofitable Until 2027, Even with a Massive $500 Million Investment Behind It

Yep. I actually prefer GOG to steam for the offline (and DRM free) installers. No intention of ever using Epic as they don't give me a good reason to. GOG was able to supplant Steam for me with a better refund policy and no-DRM / offline installers so I'll always buy a game there over Steam if...

Epic Games Store Keeps Losing Money, Expected Unprofitable Until 2027, Even with a Massive $500 Million Investment Behind It

I'm shocked. Never created an account at Epic, and never will. Greatly prefer GOG first, and Steam 2nd.

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed to Become Live Service Game, Usher in Collaborative Studio Development

Ya, I'm doing a fresh run through of all of them now. Origins & Odyssey are just attempts to copy Witcher 3. They're pretty games, but they are not Assassin's Creed games in my opinion, just open world combat games that are meant to copy Witcher 3's template. Hoping Valhalla isn't another, but...

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed to Become Live Service Game, Usher in Collaborative Studio Development

Well, I haven't bought a Ubisoft game since 2018, and haven't bought an Assassin's Creed game since 2015. That won't change anytime soon.

Microsoft Launches Windows 11 Operating System

For those of you watching and who have been following W11 does it look / seem much different from W10 in terms of just usage? I'm hoping they don't go a W8 again with the tablet OS stuff.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition

Eh the 2080 Ti was significantly overpriced at $1200. Its performance wasn't all that impressive. One of the key reasons I waited to pick one up used on ebay for just a bit above half of what its MSRP was (including a pre-installed wb to boot). As you mentioned in a later post, though, people...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition

hah. Ya...a couple of the newer games I looked at, the 3080 Ti only netted ~14-15fps more than a 2080 Ti in 4k (Valhalla & CP)...and they want $1200, which it won't even be available for (likely more like $2000-2500 on ebay), and doesn't even have a waterblock. Like the 2080 Ti...I'll wait for...

CD Projekt RED Profits Go Downhill Amid Cyberpunk 2077 Delisting from PlayStation Store

My opinion may be unpopular, but I thought the game was trash and I'll admit I played it via "other means" as I didn't trust that it would be any good. Not saying there wasn't anything good, though from a technical standpoint - the animation quality was out of this world excellent, but outside...

NVIDIA Working on GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, ZOTAC FireStorm Changelog Confirms it

No biggie - I will wait for a pricetag I consider acceptable. Got my 2080 Ti back in November for $701 on ebay with a pre-installed waterblock. I had bid on about 40 of them up to that point and was happy to keep on doing so until I won one at a reasonable pricepoint.

NVIDIA Working on GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, ZOTAC FireStorm Changelog Confirms it

Nah you're not weird, I won't pull the trigger on a retail card at these price points. Happy to wait for a 2nd hand card that's actually got a reasonable price tag.

Epic Games Spent At Least $1 Billion Securing Exclusives for EGS

Not sure why you're so hung up on this shopping cart thing, but it's actually not a strange approach - if a company says 'hey we want to compete with Steam' then I don't think it's unreasonable to think that they should probably try to match and even exceed the features of Steam if they want...
