Sorry I did not read this I started another thread along these lines my np core says r430 where can I get the above mentioned bios and flashrom to try it. I have tried everything else(about 8 different bios flashes). Please help this card is driving me nuts it just feels like it could do more.

This may sound stupid or you may have tried it. Have you tried using another flash utility I read about it somewhere else and it worked

No mine is a pci-e r430 its just that sapphire decided to shuffle the board around,I had to cut out a little bit(an inch) of the very hard copperplate and cooling fins,only cause it was too much hassle to send it back. It works great anyway.

Try one of the other XL bios the HIS has dual dvi,you can alter them with RaBiT I think. Although they all seem to work to varying degrees. I have flashed my x800 several times with different ones they all worked,so far anyway.

I know its a different model but my ATI silencer 5 rev2 for r430 x800s does not fit on a sapphire board,my board is blue if that makes any difference. It took over an hour with a dremel to make it fit. It was worth the effort though.

I have flashed mine around 8 times with different bios no difference all had twl 1.5. But one did alter the pipelines to 8 :confused:

If you enter the bios their should be something like ide/raid function which allows you to choose the ones you use for raid,switch to disable if if you are not using that ide for raid. If you are not using raid at all just disable raid in the bios.

Are both ide enabled in the bios.
