CD Projekt Halts All Digital & Physical Game Sales in Russia & Belarus

All these sanctions help shit. It makes life harder for both sides. Why should I pay higher prices if my government decides not to buy Russia oil? Politicians (especially in covid times) became like parrots...just repeating what someone else does without even thinking of possible problems in...

Semiconductor Makers Don't Expect Russia-Ukraine War to Worsen Chip Shortages

But other conflicts involved a country which is the only one that used nuclear weapons on people. The wrong move was already done 8 years ago by NATO. Like I said I hate hypocrites.

Semiconductor Makers Don't Expect Russia-Ukraine War to Worsen Chip Shortages

The sooner it ends the better IMO. But the provocative actions were already started in 2014 and not by Russia alone. The feeling of this conflict is different because it's right at the doorstep of "western" countries - and most of the people had no close contact with aggression. Most of these...

Semiconductor Makers Don't Expect Russia-Ukraine War to Worsen Chip Shortages

It's weird how market wasn't impacted by several invasions by some other country in recent years, but when it comes to this one it's like the world is ending. Disclamer: I don't support any war - it only brings suffering for everyone, but I hate hypocrites.

    Decade-old PSU?

I'm still running a HX850 (the first version), but if/when I upgrade I probably won't use it with new hardware. The price of a new PSU isn't that big so I would not risk it with the old PSU. However if it's a good quality unit it can last for a very long time.

Samsung RDNA2-based Exynos 2200 GPU Performance Significantly Worse than Snapdragon 8 Gen1, Both Power Galaxy S22 Ultra

It's not the first effort, Qualcomms Adreno GPUs used to be AMD (Adreno 200 is AMD Z430) - part of Imageon. AMD sold that GPU division to Qualcomm.

NVIDIA "Hopper" Might Have Huge 1000 mm² Die, Monolithic Design

I don't quite understand what your trying here, but it's interesting you mention other peoples insulting tone while doing the same. Nothing bad happens if you make a mistake from time to time.

NVIDIA "Hopper" Might Have Huge 1000 mm² Die, Monolithic Design

100mm wide and 100mm long does not get you a surface area of 1000mm2 but 10000mm2.

UNITEX Corporation Launches New LTO Tape Drive With LTO-9 Technology and the World's Only USB Connection

Nothing wrong with the media, it's still one of the best backup solutions. But using USB interface, throttling the drive down to just 300MB/s (when it can do around 450MB/s uncompressed and around 1GB\s compressed), and the best of all marketing it for laptop use? Using it on every device? Good...

Video card for Dell PowerEdge R420

Something like a GT 730 should work, or a GT 1030. Just be aware that drivers for consumer cards do not work on certain server OS (like Windows Server) and you need to look at Quadro cards.

Video card for Dell PowerEdge R420

Before you buy any GPU check that the server supports a second GPU and that you can select it to use it. I'm not really familiar with Dell BIOS but on HP you need to select which GPU will be primary (embedded or optional add in cards). Some older servers did not have that option and you could...
