So if for some reason the BIOS update fails, I'm SOL?

    Clearing CMOS

Does resetting the CMOS by switching the jumper pin back and forth reset the BIOS to its original version? I ask because I am thinking of updating my BIOS from version 1502 to version 1904 but if 1904 doesn't work I want to be sure that I can reset it back to 1502. Thanks!

Computer shutting down and rebooting on its own.

Good to know it's normal, thank you! :D

Computer shutting down and rebooting on its own.

When I boot up my computer from fully powered down, my computer shuts off then turns back on. This only happens from a fully powered down state, not during a restart. So here is what happens: I hit the power button, the computer boots up with LEDs and fans (no POST screen yet) and after about 8...

    120hz refresh rate in games?

Hello again qubit, perhaps it was this thread? :p http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152432 I believe this is a separate issue because disabling Crossfire has had no effect. To restate, some games will play at 120hz by default in full screen but most revert to 60hz in their...

    120hz refresh rate in games?

I tried disabling CrossfireX and running 3dMark 11 and it still ran at 60hz. Any other ideas anyone?

    120hz refresh rate in games?

I'm surprised I haven't seen many threads about this so here goes. I have a 120hz monitor and for almost every game I've loaded so far, the monitor switches back to 60hz in full screen. Very few games have the option to change the refresh rate within the game. The only way that I have found...

How to enable additional shaders on Radeon HD 6950

So I'm a newbie but I've read up a bit on this whole unlocking thing with the 6950s and decided to try it out. I have a Sapphire Dirt3 2GB and a Sapphire Flex 2GB running in Crossfire. By default, both show the 1408 shaders in GPU-Z. I powered down and flipped the switches on both and rebooted...

    Acer GD235HZ 120hz?

I think I got it. I powered down again, reconnected the Crossfire bridge, rebooted - still at 120hz, re-enabled Crossfire and I still had 120hz! I rebooted again to make sure it sticks  So in my case, I had to set the refresh rate to 120hz before physically enabling Crossfire...

    Acer GD235HZ 120hz?

Well, apparently it has something to do with Crossfire. I powered down, disconnected the Crossfire bridge from the two GPUs, and rebooted. Now, I can switch to 120hz no problem! Now, my issue is: how do I run Crossfire with this monitor at 120hz? Is it possible this monitor is incompatible...

    Acer GD235HZ 120hz?

Right, they don't have the exact monitor driver for my model. I have tried rebooting many times. I will try fiddling with Crossfire which I haven't done yet.

    Acer GD235HZ 120hz?

Hello, I just bought an Acer GD235HZ monitor for the fast response time and 120hz refresh rate to be mainly used for 2D gaming; I am not interested in 3D gaming at this time. Its specifications say it has a maximum refresh rate of 120hz. My problem is I don't know how to set it to run at...

    120hz display for 2d gaming

Hello all, I am considering purchasing a 120hz display for primarily 2d gaming and movies. I am torn between a 120hz screen@~23in. vs a 60hz screen@~27in. Which do you think is a better choice for me? Does 120hz add a noticeably smoother gaming experience over 60hz? I'm not asking if you...

    ASUS P67 Sabertooth 3 DIMMS

Hello all, My question is: Can I install 3 DIMMs in my ASUS P67 Sabertooth motherboard? I've always installed 2 or 4 DIMMs in systems and I'd like to know if it will work with 3. Thanks!
