But I find I have to click on it often, regardless of how many writes I do! So, it's best to manually start a defrag after you have stuff the way you want it to be! Just like I do with trim on SSDs.

What bitrate do you have it set to in GeForce Experience, if using that? IIRC, a workaround to try, is to raise the recording bitrate by some.

I hope you're using NVEnc instead of CPU! I usually get playable FPS and the videos at a proper framerate. Turing's NVEnc is supposed to be superb! (Even on GTX, if it's the 1660 Super) Even on CPUs with enough cores, OBS with x264, can be tricky, even for me!
