Jeez, that's a weird one. I know you made a fresh install so it probably rules out malware, but do this check: Under Win11 Task Manager you can view GPU usage (hidden by default, you have to add column) per process. See if there isn't any thing actually using the GPU, eg: Is it generating heat...

Someone on Reddit claims that changing from 'Autodetect' to '2.5 Gbps Full Duplex' is a workaround. Can anyone with the issue confirm this ? That would be enough for me to justify buying z790 board now.

Is it? Every time I check what is the current best available 120 or 140mm fan (perf/noise), it's Noctua pretty much all the time. Sadly won't buy one because I can't stand the sheer ugliness.

Maybe I'm too lazy to read spec very carefully, but it's not immediately obvious to me whether you can have two 420mm rads with this case. If I put one 420mm rad into 'Right M/B Side', will I fit another 420mm rad on the bracket (Top) ?

At least someone gets it ! Temperature (state) and Heat (energy output) are completely different things. CPU that operates OK in higher temperatures is just better, because it's actually way easier to cool.

It had a good, long life. My Laing DDC is 12 years old and working OK.

Although it pains me to say it, I think Taiwan's days are numbered. CHIPS is good news. Even if it's not enough and it will be hard, it's a step in right direction. We'll be very very deep in **** if we don't have more fabs outside Taiwan in near future.
