AMD Ryzen 3 7320U Surfaces, Possibly the "Mendocino" SoC

Picked up a super cheap Acer A315-24P with the Ryzen 3 7320U for the heck of it. Biggest issue is the 4x PCIE3.0 lanes. It forces the NVMe SSD to only x2 so that the WiFi card can at least get x1. The CPU itself isn't bad, but the Radeon 610M is very weak.

Dell Announces P2416D 24-inch WQHD Monitor

According to the specs on Dell's site, this is an IPS panel, not TN. http://accessories.ap.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=hk&cs=hkdhs1&l=en&s=dhs&sku=391-BCCQ

    Creative Unveils the Sound BlasterAxx

Oh, the horrors of all that "messy wiring"! Because 500 mA at 5v is going to give you all the "awesome room-filling sound" you could need! So, let's get this straight, a piece of crap, low-power usb speaker without L/R stereo separation, using layers of "enhancements". I call BS on this whole...

Lenovo ThinkPad X130e Laptop Now Available for Order

Why would you even try to play a game on a system like that? That's just dumb. I use an Acer Timeline AS3810TZ. Advertised battery life is 8hrs. I regularly get 9hrs+ browsing the web with wifi on. In my case, the "old benchmarks" are great, but real life is even better. Can I game? No. Life...

Lenovo ThinkPad X130e Laptop Now Available for Order

Heh. Good option instead of a netbook. The E-300 and E-450 still can't keep up with the speed of the Intel version, but over 9hrs battery life on an AMD APU with good graphics, a matte screen, and a good keyboard? Not bad.

Microsoft Talks Windows App Store, Sets Windows 8 Beta Release for February 2012

yogurt, because Microsoft is turning into a "me too" company. Apple is all warm and fuzzy and Microsoft is trying to say we're friendly, too! Screw people that actually use computers to work, we need something to look pretty!

SilverStone Debuts the TS06 External ODD Enclosure/Storage Tray Combo for Notebooks

Seriously? They HAD to put all the labels for optical drives on the drive tray for a hdd/ssd? What a bunch of retards! Someone goes to burn a disc "oh, wait, do I have a REAL optical drive in there or is it a hard drive tray labeled like an optical drive!?!?!?!" Morons.

First Affordable IPv6 Router Begins To Be Available In The UK

"Affordable" doesn't always mean it will work good. If it's cheap, but works like sh** and you end up ditching it and buying another router that works better, is that really a better deal? I'm afraid I have to agree with OneMoar on this, qubit. Just because a Reliant Robin is a cheap car doesn't...

Guru3D Has MSI Afterburner 2.2.0 Beta 8 Up For Grabs

It's a free program, be glad it works for most of us out here. If you had to pay for it, then the 10% of people having issues have a valid reason to complain.

Guru3D Has MSI Afterburner 2.2.0 Beta 8 Up For Grabs

MSI Afterburner's always worked great for me, having profiles set up for stock and different levels of overclocks, fan profiles, etc. In this case RejZoR, as the saying goes, PEBKAC...

SuperTalent Announces the USB 3.0 Express DUO 2-CH Flash Drive

...and this is supposed to be what, faster than the other one? That one was at least supposed to be 23MB/s write and 67MB/s read. Not sure how this being 18MB/s write and 69MB/s read is any better... In my tests of the 8GB Express DUO on USB2.0, I was lucky to get 11MB/s write...
