True is a champ but they aren't lapped. I lapped mine the other night and it took me 4 hrs and was a lot of work but it helped my performance. I didn't realize how cupped the True was until I started lapping.

You should have taken out approximately 12 screws (that's a guess) - If you did, the thermal paste is probably holding it on. The farthest away from the monitor plug should come loose if you lift up on it. The paste can stick like crazy. I'm at 12 now.

Can you take some pictures? XtremeSystems has an XFX support section where you might get some help, but don't get use to the place. We shut down over there from time to time for maintenance. :nutkick:

I flashed my vivo bios to the latest ATI X800XT pe bios in the collection using flashrom. Everything went fine. Card seems to run okay. I am getting the checkerboard effect in Lobby and Nature. I haven't done any vmods . Vcore is 1.42v Thanks for the good information. :D Any ideas on what...

Great thread guys, this is the best guide I've seen. I saw a good deal on a VIVO card so I thought I'd buy it and give the mod a try. Thank you Wizzard for sending these great article our way. The ATITool Rev seems to have some great new additions. I can wait to try it. :D
