Agreed, but at least it's 16:10 - so much better to work from vs 16:9 IMO. Having worked from both, I think 16" 16:10 feels about the same as a 17" 16:9. Considering they don't mention color accuracy specs makes me think they are less than serious about the "content creation" selling point though.

There is no reason for this card to exist outside of additional display outputs for office PCs. There will be quite a few disappointed kids, having paid $300+ for one of these only to discover they aren't as good as entry level cards from 5+ years ago. I suppose the one upside may be scalpers...

Cloud gaming is DOA (at least in the US) until quality broadband is available more widely and without caps. In other words, this is never going to happen until you get some major shakeup between ISPs and customers.

Assuming I could get one of these close(ish) to MSRP, would this be any kind of upgrade to a 1080ti? If I could get one around MSRP, then I could likely sell the 1080ti for about the same price. Just don’t know if it would be worth all the effort... I’m debating if I should just wait for the...

I would bet on days, not weeks. Software limitations are the same as no limitations. If anything these gimped 3060s will be even more targeted to miners since consumers/gamers may not know how to get around the limitations to run basic miners (and recoup some of the gouged prices). Meanwhile...

$1000 for a motherboard is absurd and $1500 is flat out stupid. $600-700 is extreme and IMO is only justifiable on HEDT workstation builds or similar. Double that or more for a consumer board is nuts. A full custom block setup could justify a (slightly) higher price but $1500+ for that ASUS...

No one who voted AMD watched that drivel. I saw about half before turning it off... I say this as an AMD fan, that keynote was a complete waste of time and the worst of the CES presentations this year.

that’s odd for sure, I don’t own any PCIe 4 cards to test, but could it be misreporting in GPU-Z or whichever app you’re checking?

They did make changes to the pin layout related to PCIe 4, but I really, really wish they would’ve offered me any upgrade path from my 2950X/X399 to Zen2. TR40 price + a 24core entry processor made no sense for my needs so I ended up grabbing a 3950X to use on an older AM4 board.

I’ve got somewhere shy of 30hrs logged on the PC version, no major bugs or issues of any kind. I’ve seen a few janky animations and that’s about it - no glitched objects, T-posed characters, crazy physics, random clothes disappearing, nothing like that. Honestly feels like some of the glitch...
