    AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

Well you do have a section for overclocking so how is memory any different especially when the platform is pretty memory agnostic. Glad to see you are working on a memory scaling article though. As for what is realistic for people buying; that heavily relies on recommendations from experts like...

    AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

With AMD highly recommending using higher end memory I suggest testing higher clocked dimms and see what that does to performance, especially gaming. Zen in general is very memory sensitive so low latency high speed ram will go a long way

NVIDIA Readies New GeForce RTX 30-series SKU Positioned Between RTX 3070 and RTX 3080

They could price it this way and beat Nvidia in every segment with the exception of raytracing. However Nvidia has the big marketing engine and a much bigger userbase/fanbase. I think all for sudden ray tracing is going to become the most important thing for people and reviewers alike, simply...

NVIDIA Reportedly Moving Ampere to 7 nm TSMC in 2021

AMD has been beating skyake since zen1. Winning is more than just IPC. The MCM approach is what allowed AMD to win. Each generation for the past 3 years has pushed intel for more and more desperate measures way outside of their historic trends. 4 to 6 to 8 and then to 10 core flagships back to...

AMD Launches AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Desktop Processors: The Fastest Gaming CPUs in the World

This is why I said rtx3000 vs rtx2000. Cards that have the same features should be compared accordingly. Also it's for scientific purposes. I'm curious as to how much ray tracing improved and how it effects frame rates. How much ray tracing harware is required before it works parallel to...

AMD Big Navi Performance Claims Compared to TPU's Own Benchmark Numbers of Comparable GPUs

I have checked online and noticed that Techpowerup has higher fps averages on some of the games compared to other websites, and I couldn't understand why that was the case until today. Most use the internal benchmark suites that come with the games and that's most likely what AMD did. If you...

AMD Launches AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Desktop Processors: The Fastest Gaming CPUs in the World

So there's something that has been bothering me that I never paid attention to, and could be a big mess when big navi comes out, and that is Ray Tracing performance. In the techpowerup review for the rtx 3080, ray tracing was disabled for "neutrality purposes". How long will this be the case? I...

AMD Launches AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Desktop Processors: The Fastest Gaming CPUs in the World

AMD does not need to beat a 3080 to be a win. 3080 and 3090 are power hogs, so if amd is about 10% slower but can do it at a 250w TDP for example, then that's a huge win. If anything I really hope AMD does not go way above the power performance sweet spot.

AMD Big Navi GPU Features Infinity Cache?

Yeah they been saying this for months now.

NVIDIA Could Launch GeForce RTX 3080 20GB and RTX 3070 16GB in December

How is the product any perfect lol. This gen is worse than Fermi lol

AMD Big Navi GPU Features Infinity Cache?

It only burned people who for some reason think AMD need to have the fastest single GPU card on the market to compete. Reality is, most people will buy GPUs that cost less than 500. If I was AMD right now I'd take advantage of nvidia's desperate attempts to have that artificial fastest card in...

    AMD Ryzen 9 5900X CPU-Z Bench Score Leaks, 27% Higher 1T Performance Over 3700X

At this rate you start to run into limits such as memory bandwidth and throttling of clocks. Ipc doesn't translate the same to multicore because the cores aren't even loaded near 100% to even benefit from the ipc. Zen 1 to zen 2 seems bigger because sustained multicore clocks increased...

AMD Radeon "Navy Flounder" Features 40CU, 192-bit GDDR6 Memory

I wonder if a new boost algorithm is in place to clock that high. Perhaps more like bursts or something. As for the side memory thing; I don't believe they will use both configs at the same time, rather it is believed to have 2 memory controllers, one for HBM and one for gddr6 RedGamingTech...

AMD Radeon "Navy Flounder" Features 40CU, 192-bit GDDR6 Memory

And here's a leak. Apparently it's data extracted from the kernel so who knows. It is in line with my guesstimation, with the exception of that one part with 2500mhz. We will see soon enough

RTX 3080 Crash to Desktop Problems Likely Connected to AIB-Designed Capacitor Choice

With all the bad press and hiccups with the rtx3000 series, AMD has the red carpet rolling for it to make a grand entrance. It's impressive how lucky they have been in the past few years. Sure they did great work, but their competition also weren't at their best.
