The excess oil is a very common problem with EVGA cards. I've searched around and apparently it's well known they use terrible quality pads. I dont want to get new thermal pads, or use the backplate though. I would rather not worry about new pads possibly having the same problem some time down...

Thanks to all of you for such quick replies, appreciate it. I think I'm going to stick with this voltage and overclock, at least for now. AMD said 3733 is the sweet spot supposably, but not sure its worth sacrificing timings for that bit of frequency and fclk increase over what i have now.
