Your fan is 2055 RPM at idle and 4174 RPM at load. You either already know this as you can hear a hoover in your case or your fan isn't behaving right.

you should always back up you original bios before modding ... that goes without saying :)

Thanks for the replies. I've now just used RBE and ATIWinflash to tweak the fan settings to have it run %100 fan speed @ 70C ... Lowest temp I can get is 60C - 61C @ ~73% fan speed at load. And I've left the clocks at stock and just use Catalyst to OC it :)

Yes, it works in Catalyst with 700/1200 with no issues :) I was just wondering cause I bought the Turbo model and didn't realize there was a TurboX model ... they look exactly the same only clock speeds differ, so I wondered if I could make my Turbo into a TurboX

Just wondering, if I flash my HIS HD 4850 IceQ 4 Turbo (650/1000) with a bios from a HIS HD 4850 TurboX (685/1100) ... will it work and not brick my card? Thanks, Mark

Hi, Can anyone help me understand what these settings in BIOS are for? I know what "TargetTemp" and "Tolerance" do but I can't figure out what "StartUp", "Stop" and "StopTime" do? I assumed that "StartUp" is the the speed the fan runs when the CPU is below the temperature set in...

Not true. I've installed it on my card with a modified bios with no issues.
