From what I've known,, the Lake tiny is a "technology" consisting of SSD performance & power optimizations; basically power states settings for SSDs. It’s supported with Intel RST (rapid storage technology) 12.0 and above.

Is SATA express useless since there's no device until next year? Great review by the way!

Who uses SATA Express anyways? I don't know anybody that does so having it is pretty much another marketing ploy.

Great preview! I can't wait for MSI review. They have improve greatly throughout the years and probably a huge threat to Asus in the motherboard business.
