Indeed, if you buy these processors to unlock the 4th core it's a bit of a gamble. It's nice if it works if you already own one though.

It doesn't BSOD with ati driver issues, that's the only thing i know for certain (it's bsod'd with both new and old drivers, and never reported the ati driver as the problem) :) as far as i can tell, the gpu runs fine. To be honest the problem has to lie with either the mobo or the combination...

Give me a holodeck and i'll give more than half a damn about 3d. Until then, to get even half a damn they need the autostereoscopic screens in the market, at which point it's a quick driver buff for compatibility and the "job's 'a good 'un". I can see why people like the whole glasses thing...

Indeed, i'm not sure where the rebrand idea came from anyway. ATi (when they first started designing the hd4 series, hence why they've come back swinging after hd2/3) have always been strict about getting a product taped out and in the first stages of production before the generation before it...

But crysis's engine is pretty bad by todays standards :) What i'd like to see is a game that looks like the 3dmark 11 teaser :D Also, i guarentee you that guild wars 2 will be better than that MMORPG in terms of gameplay :D (and maybe even visuals too, they'd have to push the crysis engine...
