ok thx so that means you tested at 1000Mhz and 1250Mhz and u said there was no difference by even 1 second but what about 800Mhz ? (that's my mobo's limit) did you test it at 800Mhz ? was it slower than with 1000mhz ? (I hope not :()

wait just so we're clear : you mean dual proc AND dual core ? so a total of 4 cores ? but what's 2000MT/s - is that 1000mhz ? :confused: if so did you also test it at 1600MT/s for comparison with 2000MT/s? that's the important part

ah so 1000ghz HT link speeds is still required for quad cores ? I ask this 'cause my mobo supports AM2+ CPUs as well (phenoms) so you're saying that a quad core CPU would be overkill for my mobo as it wouldn't be running at its full potential ? (since my mobo only does HT up to 800mhz)...

huh that's kinda hard to believe :wtf: such a thin layer of water would've evaporated a few seconds after he'd turned on the PC so he wouldn't have had time to get those readings

a 100000rpm fan, maybe or he could've just covered the top fan - of course this would've kinda defeated the fan's purpose, but at least his rig would still be alive ^^

yeah I know its just that 60hz kinda hurts the eyes so I can't play at that resolution ever :/ I could run the benches at that resolution but I'd have to look away from the monitor lest I get headaches :/

mmm I remember a classmate of mine who had a similar case (ie. with a fan at the top) - one day he'd accidentally spilled coca & some of it fell on the case, thanks to the top opening he lost his mobo along with several components thereon including his CPU lol ^_^

btw why not? :wtf: my monitor can do 1280x960 but the problem is the refresh rate on that resolution is too low (60Hz) so I've to stick to 1024x768 and I'm sure there's many like me who don't have luxury monitors anyway, 4827 for me (@ 1024x768 of course)
