    Antifreezer + Destilliert Water

I didn't disagree with anyone. I merely presented facts. Happy New Year

    Antifreezer + Destilliert Water

And again....it is a fact, that even small amounts of alcohol negatively impacts acrylic. Alcohol is a solvent. It weakens it, and causes stress fractures. There it is.

    Antifreezer + Destilliert Water

Listen. Alcohol negatively impacts acrylic. It's not a something that can be debated. It's simply a fact. The fact that you run an alcohol based coolant in your rig, and the fact that your block has stress fractures, it's not a wild reach to add 2 and 2 together. Could it be from over...

    Antifreezer + Destilliert Water

Looks like ya got some stress fractures in the CPU block, there.

    Antifreezer + Destilliert Water

Anecdotal evidence is....anecdotal. Good luck. Alcohol weakens acrylic. That's just a simple fact.

And especially bad for a loop with acrylic. Alcohol doesn't play nice with acrylic blocks...it will cause stress fractures with prolonged exposure.

GPU Custom Bios update for 1080GTX Turbo OC Gigabyte.

Are you running sub-ambient? No? Then don't worry about adding extra voltage until you do. There are custom bios files out there, like the XOC bios, but....again, unless you're ready to get serious about cooling, adding voltage doesn't really do much except add heat, which adds...

    Thermal pads not touching block?!

Take the block off, and take a picture of the PCB please. One of us will circle what you need the pads on. NM, did it for you. Looks to me like the pads you have on one of those sections is too thick. Use the thinner pads.

    Will my Ryzen 1700 bottleneck a 1080 ti @ 2ghz boost?

It will really depend on the game. Anything that's lightly, or single threaded, the Intel is going to perform better, even at 1440. For heavily threaded games, those using DX12, etc, the 8 core Ryzen will perform just as well as the Intel rig. With multi-threading starting to become more the...

    perfcap reason pwr

    1. Then you're blind 2. Idle temps are the baseline, and it's clear that as the graph goes up in temps, so does the voltage. Correlation in this case, does equal causation. 3. Wrong 4. You're wrong 5. The one thing we agree on, as well as the driver install I'll agree to disagree. I...

    perfcap reason pwr

I think if you look at the sensors tab screenshot there, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. It's idling at around 50c, load temps are much higher. As temps increase during load, you'll also notice voltage increasing until it hits the power limit perf cap, at which time it...

    perfcap reason pwr

Not in that it's an overheating issue, but as temps rise, so must the voltage to keep the core stable. More core voltage = more power draw. Thus, along with increasing the power limit in AB and creating a custom fan curve, he may be able to get around it.
  13. Vellinious

    perfcap reason pwr

You're hitting the power limit perf cap there. As temps increase, so does voltage and heat...as voltage goes up, so does the required power. When you hit the power limit prescribed in the bios for the GPU, it will throttle the core and voltage to bring it back down where it should be. A...

What's The Very Best GTX 1080 ti to get?

To keep on air? Find the one with the best cooling solution and run with it. On air, there is no "best" GPU. It's just "best" cooling.
