Im getting instant system shut-downs when i try to play games, and while there could be a number of reasons for this, i noticed my voltage regulator temperature hovers around 55-60 when IDLE! I'm using an x1800xt and ATITool 0.25 beta 14. Is this normal and safe? Thanks

Very true, but i have been playing with the clocks ALOT, although the last 2 days it has been at default speeds and PERFECTLY stable. Do you think they can find out that it was PREVIOUSLY clocked, because if they do its tough luck for me.....

I have done but they are really dodgey about this stuff. I manually fitted it too and they could just turn around and say well you should have got a qualified person (it says on the invoice, and in Terms and in Conditions you *should* get someoen qualified to fit it). They are not gonna want to...

Just on internet checking sites, suddenly some display corrupt then pc crashes then i smell smoke....then monitor displays all sorts of bizzare things on boot...card smells of smoke...not noticible burns.....card has been at default clock for days.....temp never past 55C checked ati tool...

if my psu is going at 1700w is it possible that when i cloc kthigns up its overheating then (the psu)? or something due to the fan spinning slow.

Oh and its strange how al lyour temps are 25C. with MBM and maybe other programs i think they put 25C if they cant read the temp.

well i have a fan on the front and the back so it might be setup that way. taking the side panel off reduced cpu and gpu temps so im not sure if its keeping it cool that well....

Well i set the clock speeds to default and with the fan at 100% and the case side panel off (tested this it does decrease temp by a few) max temp i got after about an hour of Counter-strike Source was 53C. Considering it becomes unstable at around 60C it seems i cant even overclock my graphics...

It seems to be heating up INSANELY now. Only clocked at 550/580 im getting temperature of 65 after 2 mins of artifact finding. The GPU and temp. chip temp differences are 20C too, is that normal?

Ok well now CS Source is crashing with a memory error :/
