If you look at the gpu chip. Specifically the corner with an arrow on it. Your ram modules are counted starting from the opposite corner. So if the arrow is say top left of the chip, then you start at the lower right hand side. The modules run in order of a1, a0, b1, b0, etc. Sorry for the poor...

Can anyone share with me some information on how to test VRAM on ATI cards. Like mats and mods for nvidia memory. I need to diagnose two cards I have here that have all voltages present but no display and I am leaning towards faulty memory. Not sure how to check it to be sure. Much appreciated.

Thank you for the response, this could make some sense, the RAM chips were shorted out. It had a blown mosfet on the memory phase with a shorted out gate, normal stuff, so I switched that out first and checked the gate for short and it was fine, Stupidly forgetting to recheck the memory itself...
