Agreed. If upscalling worked on a 1050 ti, that’s something id get behind. But if I’m already spending close to a grand on a new card you can bet I’ll be running in native.
My guess is they are being highly subsidized by the VR companies and this isn’t to make money for the developers, but rather push sales for meta and alike.
To put that in perspective a standard 15amp, 120volt circuit maxs out at 1800watts. A 20 amp circuit maxes out at 2400 watts.

Yeah but isn’t why they have smart tvs? I mean the whole point of a monitor is you already have it hooked up to a computer which is going to be infinitesimally faster than some bloated, add-fest of a smart device OS that the monitor will have.
On a positive note, this has given me reason to once again consider PNY as a potential option (after writing them off for the past 20 years).
