This Week in Gaming (Week 5)

That Suicide squad commercial was awful. Everything censors the word suicide nowadays. Or people just do it for some reason by using the word unalive or other dumb shit. What does that mean for this game? Are people going to cry when they read the title? Are they going to kill themselves...

"The Day Before" Developer Ceases Operations 3 Days Into Game Release, Steam Steps in with Refunds

I could never make it past the stupid title. What is the day before? Is that the setting? It's the ONE day before? It's post apocalyptic setting, so it's not the day before the apocalypse. The day before what? In summation I absolutely hate the title.

Dell Launches the UltraSharp U3824DW 38-inch Ultra-wide Curved Monitor

I guess the price hike is for the KVM and ethernet jack. Because it looks, spec wise, exactly like their other 38".

ASUS Shows Concept GeForce RTX 4070 Without Power Connector

Super long cards and proprietary tech, no thanks. It might be too long for mini-itx mobo. I like the idea though. I remember a time when we didn't even need power cables for GPUs. I would like to return to that time. The amount of space required for those extra pins is small. Just make a longer...

Creative Announces the Outlier Free Pro Bone-conduction Headphones

They have plugs for concerts, that have small holes that allow some sound in. I believe there are varrying levels of the hole available. Might be able to find an acceptable plug for the purpose. Is it very tin-y sounding? I imagine it's like those things that make a piece of paper a speaker.

In Win Envisions an Ikea-like Future for PC Cases for Sustainable Shipping with POC and Dubili

This looks to be a little more than just flat packed parts. Caselabs were shipped flat packed too. These look like the side panels are made to be folded into a case. Like a metal model kit.

Notebook Panel Shipments in October Dropped to a Decade Low for That Month and Will Remain in a Slump in 4Q22

I keep considering doing a similar idea. But one of the best uses of a laptop, the ability to run on battery, is out the window. I suppose you could carry one of those car battery sized power sources they sell. Not sure how much time you could get out of it. I have a sffpc with a 3080 and...

ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 Noctua OC

Just to put the black fans on instead. I have a whole color theme going, thrown off by this card. The fans are replaceable according to this review. If I have to remove the whole sinc I won't bother. I have 4 of these same fans in black intended for something else that I chose not to do.

ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 Noctua OC

Yes i took those off first then there are 4 screws on the ends of the card. Two on each side. Still did not come off. If it's glued then I will try again with more manly muscles. Edit: I think those top screw only hold the shroud to the fans, now that I think of it. Can't try for another day...

ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 Noctua OC

I know this may be forgotten, at this point, but do you remember when taking the fans/shroud off? Were the fans glued to the sinc like the 3070 version. I couldn't find mention of it in the review. I finally posess the thing and first try they did not come off. I was afraid to use too much...

Samsung Electronics Takes Gaming Experiences To The Next Level With Global Launch of Odyssey Ark

I used a projector as my main display for a couple years. I sat maybe 10 feet away and used the entire wall as my screen. The problem with sitting close to a large screen is having to look around vs just moving your eyes. It is not comfortable to keep moving your head to see the outside corners...
