The Ageia PPU looks like a pretty good option if you are an ATI user and want a nice bump..It gave more help than the 9600 and they go for $30-$50 on eBay. So when PhysX was with Ageia, they were confident their PPU could work with any GPU...but now that nVidia owns it, all the sudden there...

Thanks for making this thread. I am truly surprised that there has not been a lawsuits over this yet. Can you imagine what would happen if Intel and AMD arbitrarily disabled CPU functions when it detected an nVidia GPU? PhysX can run in "software mode" with an ATI video card right...

Cool, thanks for the info. I checked out reviews of that MSI board and it seemed like a nice board for a "cheap" build. Toms also mentioned the ASRock. I had seen the EVGA boards, but the $50+ i can save on one of the cheaper seems like it would be better than the potential OC features.

Has anyone set-up a 5850 based Eyefinity setup? Has anyone seen a review of one? I have seen a bunch of reviews of the new 2gb 5870 and they often swap it out with a 5870 to compare. I would love it if they tossed a 5850 for 3x1 to do some testing.
