Last week I swapped my 6700XT and add 180€ for new 6900XT.....Yes it's Biostar nothing fancy no lights and other BS but cooler is pretty good and card is basically the same as reference model when it comes to the VRM.....so far so good no complains.....

Well if you doing OC you MUST pay attention on this 2 things and they going hand in hand more Voltage higher the temps.....OC on default PBO is most likely to much of the Voltage....if you doing OC my advice is always go step by step and with the lowest possible Voltage / undervolted your CPU...

What was yours temperatures on CPU and VRM?How much Voltage you applied on your OC over the stock settings?

Yeah 7970 was GREAT card and as you mention it had it all 'tho starting price in 2012 was around 500$-550$ which means when we add inflation is something like 700$-750$ today which is still great for high-end card also we can said that longevity was almost as good as 1080TI and had great tech...

If Anything Longevity is probably THE BEST adut of the 1080 TI.....I mean we can argue about tech innovation and how big impact this card have compared to some others but hey 1080TI is still pretty damn good which means is going to be arguably "OK-ish" performer at least for few more years......

Yeah 290 was Great which is basically 7970 certainly in my opinion top 5.....

Hmm actually price was really good.....best high-end GPU when we add inflation on release it was lover then 1k$.....so just compare that with any release after Pascal also previous GTX 980TI release price was not that much lower either so......
