Higher clocks! be quite a card indeed!!! What really limiting the 8800GTX is the clock speed, are a mere 626(and thats the max overclock one can get) and 1500~ for the shaders... its acutally slower then the G92 which is why the G92 card beat it half the time, except in high resolution/AA testss where memory=better

Yup, that's why I asked. I would have been all over it if it were a G92. I have the XFX 8800GTS 640MB in the wife's machine.

I still use my 8800 GTX XXX, besides that and the now 200 Dollar Ultra why would anyone need anything else?

Hmm, I'm pretty tempted seeming my GTX is on the fritz and I don't know whether or not I can fix it. I didn't want to spend alot to upgrade my video card especially seeming an 8800 GTX can still thrash pretty hard given its age. Kind of feels like a waste to spend so much for a marginal gain on the newer generation cards.

Of course I'm forgetting I don't have a paypal or heatware (haven't sold / bought online before) and I'm in Canada (if you're willing to ship). Perhaps I should buy it now and if I can fix my card then I get myself a SLi mobo and get a nice boost there. Just to double check cross brand SLi works just not differing chipset correct?
