If you guys had to pick one motherboard that was rock solid for the LGA775 chipset and could still overclock. Which one would it be?

I heard a great deal of good things about DFI's MBs. The BloodIron is supposed to be a beast.

I've never used Gigabyte myself, but I've always heard good things, especially the ease with which they OC.

I don't live in the UK.

My friend is wanting me to build him a computer, but hasn't given me a budget yet, so, I'm just doing some brainstorming. Thanks guys.

Yeah, I've also heard great things about ASUS P5K Pro.

I'll more than likely be going DualCore on this build...Does that matter with the Gigabyte board?

That's preferred with the gigabyte board. These guys in the link above are complaining that they can't get over 510-530 FSB with their quads but how with duals they could get much higher results. These are definitely more for dual core chips. Ask System Viper. He ran E8600s on his. :D

Well, from what I know of my friend I think that he would be more in the e2200 range, but IDK for sure yet. (maybe 2x1gb of RAM @800Mhz)

Has there been any advances in DDR2 RAM while I haven't been looking?

P5Q-PRO, i've personally chosen the P5Q Deluxe for the 16 phase, but those boards would be and are my top choices, i have the Deluxe coming in from newegg.com for 134(openbox) so that was a hell of a steal!

You must have lots of spare parts.
