Stealth Introduces the Extremely Fast LPC-650 Mini PC

Stealth Computer, a leading manufacturer of industrial rugged computers and peripherals recently released the LPC-650 Series LittlePC, an extremely fast and little home-entertainment PC. The new Stealth LPC-650 small form factor PC offers tremendous power in a tiny package that measures 6.5" x 6" and less than 2" tall, or about the size of a normal human hand. It is enginnered with the latest 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 or 2.6GHz T9500 processors, up to 4GB of SO-DIMM DDR2 memory, and up to 500GB of hard disk space (accommodates 2.5-inch SATA mobile HDDs) or even SSD option. The LPC-650 mini PC features a multitude of I/O connectivity options built into its impressively small design such as: Gigabit LAN, Wi-Fi 802.11g, 4x USB 2.0, integrated Intel GMA X3100 video controller with 2x VGA inputs and single HDMI port, Realtec ALC662 5.1 channel sound, and a slim combo DVD-ROM/CD-RW or DVD-RW optical drive. Unfortunately, the standard LPC-650 costs $1595, not the best price for such a hardware configuration, but still we have to admit it is very cool and will definitely impress everyone who sees it. Looks like sh1t with cheap nasty plastic sticker stuck on as an after thought. What a rip off. And this is supposed to compete against mac minis etc. I'd much rather build my own system at a fraction of the price: MSI fuzzy or similar: http://geizhals.at/deutschland/a302753.html

Have to admit thou, its a pretty handy little unit. I agree with Lemonadesoda with the building of our own little unit, but this is aimed for those that dont have the time or understanding.

Havnt you ever been to someones place and spotted a HP rig, or DELL, or Alienware ???

somewhere around $400 USD (max) with no ram or HDD is probably the price this would sell at, as an uber fast version of the EeePC
