lol, yeah.... but if I had that much $$$ I'd be buying a conroe. Performance RAM is rediculous... yes it OC's great and the latencies are low, but you know what? you can pay $200+ for a gig to go from 5-5-5-15 to 3-4-3-8 and not see more than a couple fps increase in game play, or benchmarks (obviously RAM benchmarking is the exception)... IMO this stuff is for rich people, fanatical gamers with credit cards, supermods, and kids who have a job and still live at home

Yeah that is what i think also. We are pushed to buy the expensive high-end hardware and then 2 or 3 months later you see the prices drop like crazy.

Dont get me wrong. I like al the cool new stuff but at the moment it feels a bit like overkill.
What do they think that every 4 or 5 months i am going to buy new memory, a videocard or a new processor.

When i build a high end pc i want to have the feeling that i have something new and that it wil last a long time. Think about it. You will spend 1000 dollar for something that 2 months later is not good enough anymore.
