Are all new games short? Help finding longer ones.

Right guys it took me 3 days to Complete F.E.A.R and 1 day to complete Crysis, I'm after some good looking games that are actually a decent length!

There was games on the Atari that I never even finished whats going on with modern game designers?

well with more intense graphics engines and bigger more beatifull maps, its takes alot longer to actually build the scenario and the engine and the maps than the actually story, i guess most game could pack a bunch of usless crap in them and have you backtrack a whole bunch to incrase the gameplay, but they want to have you interested the whole 8-10 hrs you play it, now if you want a long game buy neverwinter nights 2, or the witcher, fallout 3 isnt that long to beat, but you can exsplore for alot longer

The Witcher EE
Half LIfe 2
Fallout 3 ( if you do not stick to main quest that is.

There is others i'm sure but highering the difficulty up helps too. Even if you played a game for a day you get better value time wise than you would with a movie..

Don't forget about Baldurs Gate 2, Planescape Torment and Fallout 2 (among others), if you're into that sort of thing.

But it's a pity games are shorter nowadays. Sure there are more online content (sometimes), but we who still prefer a solid single player experience are kinda left out.

Heard EVE takes forever and a day. Half life as already mentioned. Then you got the RPG's like Obilvion and The Witcher.

Could always get into strategy games like SupCom and C&C

Witcher. 40-50 Hours I think. That is long game for me. I like shorter games 6-8 hours. I get easily bored.

Only if you take the time to explore and check out the scenery and try to find hidden items will it take a long time. If you play straight through Bioshock is pretty easy to beat in a day or 2 at the most.

The half life series for sure. Im playing through TDU and thats taking forever. Oh and mass effect was quite lengthy.
